About GSEZ
Where we talk about the New Orleans Saints football team in all its glory, and collateral issues that arise from time to time. We named it “Girod Street End Zone” because we figured if you knew what the Girod Street end zone was, you were a true Saints fan, and if not, you’re on your own.

The Goat is the founder and site admin of GSEZ. GSEZ is the blog extension of the weekly in-season e-mail series The Report established by The Goat in 2000 for distribution to his diaspora of friends and fellow Saints fans arond the country. In a previous life, The Goat served as the sports editor of his college newspaper and then the Houma Daily Courier in Houma, Louisiana, and was a regular contributor to WGSO’s Reporter’s Roundtable hosted by Les East until that show went on hiatus in 2009.
The Goat currently resides in southeastern Pennsylvania, where he retains his Saints season tickets that have been in the family since 1967, and gets to them at the goal line of the Girod Street end zone whenever he can.
Claude Coupee is the lead correspondent and primary contributor to GSEZ. A former statistician and sportswriter, Claude was an early adopter of the Bill James/Moneyball meta-analysis process used to either support or debunk popular wisdom about sports in general and the Saints in particular.
GSEZ welcomes comments, and we don’t edit them, but no porn (or porn links) of any kind, or you will get banged out for good, and profanity is all fine and dandy, but bring some game with it, or make it a value add, or you’re only going to look like an idiot.
